I go by Hieu May online. I started drawing ever since I was a kid inspired by dragon ball, and I’ve never stopped regardless of where I am either in class or at home, on whatever paper and pen i could get my hands on. I transitioned from traditional art to digital art in the beginning of my career, with thousands and thousands of hours on Procreate and Photoshop as my 2 main software.

I have been to some traditional art classes before and they are boring as hell.  I feel like a big thing that art classes don't consider is the artist’s motivation. It's no fun for the artist who wanted to draw anime girls. It's like doing KovaaK or Aim Trainer for an FPS all the time instead of actually playing the FPS game. 

There should be a balance and that's what I strive to teach, a good mix of direct usable knowledge with a mix of exercises and training.
